Mr & Mrs B were facing a choice, move house or do some big home improvement projects which included an extension to replace their 23 year old conservatory and a new kitchen.

THE BRIEF

The main priority for the customers was to maximise the worktop space and improve the storage capacity. They also wanted the kitchen side of the open plan kitchen/dining area not to be seen from the Living room. This way, despite the whole area being open plan, they could have two distinct areas.

THE CHALLENGE

To give them more Kitchen living space, the customers required that an old conservatory be removed and a rear extension built. The customer was keen to have as few points of contact as possible throughout the project so chose for the building work to be carried out by Olympus Construction who regularly work closely with Kitchen Living on home renovation projects.

THE OUTCOME

Mr & Mrs B now have a light and spacious, open plan kitchen diner. The doors are white Odyssey which contrast nicely with the Azul Platino granite worktops. The olive glass splashback provides a striking splash of colour.

WHAT THE CLIENT SAID

“I am very happy with my new kitchen and got used to it very quickly. I have so much more worktop space and particularly like having the larder cupboard and pull out bin. The big open plan space is great for when we have lots of guests, especially at Christmas.”
