A Cashmere Kitchen With a Dash of Champagne

Whiteley

About This Space

Our customer knew that she would need a complete kitchen redesign when she viewed her new house.

The kitchen space had great potential but it felt dark and the layout was not practical. There was not much storage and a lot of wasted space that could be better utilised. By knocking out the back wall she could create the warmer, welcoming kitchen/diner space she was after.

A Word From The Client

“I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted and Haydee seemed to “get” what I was after very easily. The initial design, therefore was pretty much what I had pictured in my mind.

There were a few tweaks and adjustments along the way while I was confirming my final budget, but there was never any pressure to agree on the final version before I was ready.  This reassured me that the aim was to fulfil my brief rather than skimp on a generic design without really finding out what I wanted and what would work best.

Installation was very easy from my end, I simply provided a key so that the fitters and contractors could come and go regardless of whether I was there or at work.  They attended on time, were reliable and all seemed to take pride in their work. I was impressed at how clean and tidy they all left the site at the end of each day.

Communication with the office was also easy. I was updated frequently and it was easy to get in touch if there was anything I needed to ask.

I love my new kitchen! The bifold doors make the biggest difference in terms of light and opening up the space. I also love the island which has tons of storage. The glass splashback tones in perfectly with the rest of the kitchen.  Furthermore, I love having a dishwasher as I have never had one before!

The kitchen works so well as a whole and now I spend a lot more time there. Moreover, I enjoy cooking a lot more now that I have a functional and social space.”

A note from Our Designer

"Given that the redesign would involve knocking out walls and moving utilities, the customer was keen to use a local company who could do the whole project.

Furthermore, the customer needed to work during a pandemic. Juggling multiple trades as well would have proved very difficult.  She therefore chose Kitchen Living as we could project manage it all for her."
