About This Space
Our customers from Chandlers Ford had a separate kitchen and dining room. The dining room in particular was long and narrow and often didn’t get used other than at Christmas. The kitchen itself was old and tired and the utility area was unpractical.
They wanted to knock out the wall between the kitchen and dining room and make one large space. As this was a structural wall, this was not a straight forward task. Kitchen Living were able to manage the whole project for them, including the building work.

“The fitters and contractors were amazing, so helpful and polite – it is quite invasive and yet we felt really comfortable with the whole team – and the dog enjoyed all the extra cuddles and fuss! The office were great and Jenny kept us regularly up to date – having a planner to follow too was really useful – knowing who was coming when is so key.
We just love our kitchen – it makes me smile every day – and has changed how we live.
It’s hard to choose a favourite feature. The larder cupboard has to be top – its just so useful! We have all our consumables in there and having them laid out, easy to see makes cooking so pleasurable.
The bar area was not in our plans originally, but separating the drinks and glasses from the rest of the kitchen is really practical. Day to day with two teenagers and at Christmas it was great that people could help themselves while I was getting on with the cooking.
The third is the utility cupboard – we designed this to fit what we had but just being able to store away the vacuum, ironing board, steam iron and all the cleaning materials neatly is just fab!”
